Planning Stage
Getting my first ideas down!!!! This was mostly easy but as I listed my ideas... I soon saw how big this project was.
First mock ups! I was drawing wayyyyy too big but ill get into the groove of things later. Planning out how I want it to be set up. I MIGHT use a templete just to help me set up those pesky dividers and boxes but im not sure yet. I need to draw all the art first. The second page is my about me! I want it to be sims 2 inspried bc im going for an old web theme. Growing up, we were too broke to buy a new computer so I had the windows 7 family computer up until 2023 and I want this website to be a love letter to my childhood.
Site map planning and a liberary! The Site map was super easy, already knew what I wanted the map to look like and the "Dora the explorer" Theme came naturally after. But that Liberary gave me a run for my nonexistent money. The magazine collection page was fine, nothing too crazy. BUT THE SKETCHBOOK ONE?!?! I had no idea what I wanted to do for an "Intro" page before opening up each sketchbook. I got the idea from someone else who had scanned each page of their journals and made them into a digital sketchbook on their website. I sketchbook every day so I thought it would be cool. I CANT FIND THAT WEBSITE AGAIN AND IVE BEEN HUNTINGGGG. I havent found another person doing it so I had no insperation on what to do. AKA I was cooked. None of the ideas I came up with fit the vibe of the arena. I even thought of a mini game at some point but then I remebered I would wrather die then learn how to code a game in html when I don't even have the base of my website down.
More of exploring this hell of my own creating. I was very frustated after the last page so I went "Researching" (Just exploring other peoples websites) for some ideas. And Mani... Oh Manii... without him I would be nothing I swear. I saw his Oc page on his website and that got me inspried for the what I wanted to do. One of my Oc's in front of a bookshelf reading. "OK OK THIS IS A START" and right when I felt I was going somewhere, I remebered this site was web inspired. not some darkk acaedima bull shit. I was cooked. I was dead on the floor like the family guy falling pose. So I desided to be lazy and have the diffrent tabs be diffrent sketchbooks. Will I change this? Probably. Is this better than nothing so I never have to think aboout it until I do? Yes. Yes it is. Oh right and the second page is what THIS page will look like in the future and bellow that is my oc's page i guess.
